The project of bringing together the Roma fan-base into a single legal entity has now begun. The association's name will be chosen soon, by the fans themselves. Born from an idea by Roma fan Walter Campanile (with the technical and legal support of the Biamonti legal practice and Envent Srl) is aimed exclusively at Roma supporters, including the many overseas fans. Fans of the Giallorossi will finally be able to participate in a Supporters' Trust: a phenomenon still relatively unknown in Italy but which forms the basis for a number of the continent's leading clubs (Barcelona, Real Madrid, Benfica, Sporting Lisbon, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Hamburg and Cologne). A new movement which draws on close and careful analysis of these examples abroad, where over 180 Supporters' Trusts or fan ownership projects exist.
Roma supporters will therefore be able to participate in a democratic, not-for-profit organisation designed for mass membership, accessible to all.

The date to watch out for is 21 April 2010: the meeting of the Constituent Assembly will be held in Rome to approve the name, purpose and structure of the new organisation, with the participation of 83 members - one for every year of the club's history. The aim is to create a legal entity which in addition to the above ideals will be able to collaborate with the club in various contexts. All members will have an equal say in the decisions taken by the Association: each individual will have a vote, whatever the type of membership they acquire.

This is a mass movement, born online and which will be able to grow hugely, especially abroad. On the new portal Myroma.it (currently under development by Alo software), Roma fans from all over the world can meet and overcome geographical, linguistic and social barriers in order to share their ideas, images and comments before, during and after every game. An ideal meeting place for Romanisti, who will once again be able to demonstrate the depth of their attachment to the team and enjoy their passion to the full.
